Funmi is UK-based,   Founder, Director and award - winning Inspirational leader with a strong record of supporting people in professional, community and voluntary roles. 

Since Founded BME Suffolk in 2018, Funmi has led the organisation through years of transformation, ensuring the services meet the evolving needs of the local community in Ipswich and Suffolk. 

Under her leadership, BME Suffolk had thrived tremendously by securing the only  Community Hub for ethnic groups in her county and won many awards locally, regionally and nationally. 

Funmi is  known for her highly organised skills and community-focused leadership. She has served as parent governors across Suffolk schools, worked within Health and Community sector, campaigned for social justice via a petition to the House of Parliament to influence decision making for migrant workers. 

Funmi is a passionate advocate for partnership working across the VCSE sector and maintaining strong relationships with senior dignitaries of her county, statutory bodies and funders. Her commitment to community development via her deep rooted dedication to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion for positive change had earned her several  recognition awards.
